Product Designer

A design portfolio demonstrating both creative thinking and the delivery of solid design solutions is required.
Key skills and experience required:
• Understanding work flow and product design process methodologies, for example user task analysis, concept sketching, story boarding, wire-framing, & use case modeling.
• Rapid prototyping ability and experience building low to medium (or high) fidelity user interface design prototypes. Experienced in a few of the following tools: Silverlight, Expression Designer or Blend, PowerPoint, Visio, Flash, Fireworks, Director, DreamWeaver, Illustrator, Photoshop, Freehand, GoLive, 3d Studio Max, Zam3d, and Axialis Icon Workshop.
• User interface architecture experience designing for Windows environment – navigation models, UI frameworks and organization of features/tasks. Web/WPF/Silverlight design is a plus.
• 3-5 years of software design experience with university degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, Art, Design, Graphic Design, Industrial Design, or related field.
Optional, but preferred/extra consideration given for the following skills and experiences:
• Strong interaction and visual design skills.
• Experience working with Excel, data dashboards, and/or statistical or database packages, for example: SAS, SPSS, Statistica, Access, SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, and/or DB2.
• Experience designing end user productivity products for professional information workers and IT professionals.
• Experience designing product(s) from beginning to end, performing role of interaction designer in close partnership/teamwork with software developers and other product development team members.
• Experience on user research and usability data analysis is a plus.
